Cooperative Housing is a not for profit organization which began in 1986 to provide affordable shared living residences and services for low income older adults and some special needs populations.

It is CHC's intent to concentrate on serving people who are unable to have acceptable living arrangements given their income and housing costs in our area, and to provide not only fine housing, but companionship and security in a mutually supportive environment.

CHC is funded by federal funds, State of New Jersey grants, and private donations. Today, CHC owns and operates seven homes. CHC homes enjoy a tax exempt status, and all homes are debt free.
